1. Scope
This policy explains what Fête (operated by Innova8, UAE) collects when you buy or interact with a digital invitation on fete8.com, and what we do with it. We comply with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and honour GDPR principles for visitors from the EU.
2. What we collect from buyers
Your email address (for delivery, receipts, one-time sign-in codes, and dashboard access), the invitation details you enter (names, dates, venue, messages, photos), and payment metadata from Stripe (amount, currency, transaction reference — never card numbers).
3. What we collect from guests
Only what a guest actively submits on an invitation: an RSVP (name, party size, optional note), song suggestions or votes, or a gender-reveal guess. Guests are not tracked across sites and need no account.
4. Location and currency
We derive an approximate country from your IP address once per visit, solely to preselect a display currency. The IP-to-country lookup runs on our own servers; the result (a currency code) is stored in a session cookie. You can override it at any time.
5. Cookies
We use strictly functional cookies: language, currency, and short-lived sign-in sessions. No advertising cookies, no third-party analytics trackers.
6. Photos and metadata
Uploaded images are converted server-side and hidden metadata (including GPS coordinates) is removed before storage. Images are stored privately and served only through invitation pages.
7. Who processes data for us
Stripe (payments), Microsoft Azure (hosting, email delivery, and file storage). Each processes data under its own safeguards and only as needed to run the service. We do not sell personal data.
8. Retention
Invitation content is retained while the invitation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards for support and legal records. Unpurchased drafts and their uploads are deleted automatically. You may request deletion earlier (see below).
9. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to processing, by writing to hello@fete8.com from your purchase email. Guests may route requests through the invitation owner or contact us directly.
